OTHER SELLERS OF QUEEN MEMORABILIA - LONDON

OXFORD ST AREA

Sister Ray, Berwick Street
Very good selection of 7" singles, CDs, and other items. Best bet in London for collectors. Very knowledgeable about rare items, as is reflected in their prices, but also known for the occasional bargains.

Music and Video Exchange, Berwick Street
Good selection of Queen items, although their best is at their Notting Hill Branch.

Reckless Records, Berwick Street
Worth visiting for the occasional rare item.

Mister CD, Berwick Street
Recommended for cheap and reasonable prices of regular CDs and the odd bootleg.

Selectadisc, Berwick Street
Recommended for the occasional reasonably priced second hand LP. Worth visiting.

Cheapo Cheapo Records, Rupert Street
A goldmine of cheaply priced seventies and eighties vinyl, books and videos. Very few obscure items. There is also a market stall right outside that has the occasional bargain.

Steve's Sounds, Little Newport Street
Recommended for cheaply priced CDs and Books.

Vinyl Experience, Hanway Street
Queen items upstairs. Often stock 'wonderful' material - sometimes nothing. Their prices are ridiculously cheap so worth a browse.

Soho Records, Hanway Street
Recommended for good 1970s and 1980s vinyl with some Queen titles.

On the Beat, Hanway Street
Often have a good selection at okay prices. Entirely vinyl and books/magazines. Often closed for lunch!

Going For A Song, Charing Cross Road
Recommended for their cheaply priced CDs. Some Queen or related.

Market Stall on Goodge Place
Recommended for their cheaply priced CDs. Some Queen or related.

Virgin Megastore, Oxford Street, (next to Tottenham Court Road station, and also at Marble Arch station)
Recommended for new releases. Typical megastore.

HMV,  Oxford Street (next to Bond Street station, also at Oxford Circus station, and Picadilly Circus Station)
Recommended for new releases. Typical megastore.  Soundtracks downstairs (at Oxford Circus).

Tower Records (next to Picadilly Circus station, also at High Street Kensington station and in Queensway shopping centre)
Good for albums, bad for singles, no vinyl.

NOTTING HILL AREA

Music and Video Exchange, two branches on Notting Hill Gate - one with collectors' records upstairs where the selection is recommended, and two branches in Pembridge Road (near the Queen Productions Office) - one with a bargain basement downstairs. Highly recommended for rare and obscure items in their bargain section.

Stalls on Kensington Market (Monday to Saturday)
Bootleg store in basement, another upstairs. Good range of posters and other items.
(Ed's Note: I believe Kensington Market has since been closed down, so this stall may have moved.

CAMDEN TOWN AREA

Music and Video Exchange (another branch!)
Good bargain basement. Visit and browse recommended. Also visit the branch on Goldhawk Road, near Townhouse Studios.

Stalls on Camden Market (Thursday to Sunday)
Good bootleg and used record stall with wide selection of Queen 7" vinyl.

Stalls on Camden Lock Market (reported to be open seven days a week)
Two bootleg stalls.

Basement Shop in Stuckley Place (formerly 'Vinyl Crypt')
Has a good selection of bootlegs and official releases.

Beanos, Croydon (Telephone 0181 680 1202)
Supposedly the largest secondhand record shop in maybe the UK, certainly in Croydon. Recommended for their good selection of Queen and rareties.

Greenwich Market (Sundays)
Lots of stalls with records and CDs. Worth a visit.
